The site was initially an agricultural holding and was converted as a greenfields site into a newly-built mall anchored by Shoprite. This mall is completely self-sufficient, with a borehole, sewerage and waste water management plant. It includes a full solar and battery system for energy use. The mall development also included a number of community upliftment projects to ensure microeconomic opportunities existed.
