In November of 1972 Mike Buyskes, a young man of 20 years old decided he was not going to work for an employer and started a business in the building trade called Mike D. Buyskes Builders.

The Business consisted of Mike and one labourer who together started an alteration that eventually took 1 year. As they progressed the first payment they could employ a few more people and that was the start of today’s Mike Buyskes Construction (Pty) Ltd.

Currently employing 120 people directly and approximately 300-400 people indirectly. In 1974 Matebula Mahlangu joined the business as a labourer and he progressed to be made a director in 1992 and a few years later became a shareholder in the Company.

In 1976 Mearl Buyskes joined us and was made a director and shareholder in 1984. All 3 of the original directors are still active in the Company.

The Company specialized in the residential market and when the market took a major down turn in the late 1980’s they moved into the Commercial market where they are today.

From 2007 the Company gained 3 new Directors out of the staff namely Willie Booysen, Leon Lees and Jayson Buyskes.

With these new motivator specialists the Company grew from strength to strength and today it plays a leading role in the Pretoria based Construction Companies.

The Company is well recognized for its quality of work, pro active involvement in the contracts and timeous completion of contracts ranging over a wide field from luxury lodges to hotels, warehouses, factories, hospitals, retail centres and commercial buildings.
